Creative Problem Solving Ideas
By Robert Smith
Everyone has issues on their minds, and problem that at one
point or another need solving! The issue is just how does one
get over their problems? Are there methods that can be used to
handle creative problem solving? The answer is yes, and here
are some of the ways that problems can be solved in a creative
way.
Walking: Walking gets the blood flowing and it introduces
oxygen into the system. This will help to get the brain fired
up. Many people find that when they go for walks, they feel better,
and their head is more clear and light. When you feel this way,
you might find that a lot of issues and problems can get solved.
Sometimes we just need to get the distractions and the worries
out of the front of our minds, so that we can think clearly and
pull things that are in the backs of our minds to the front for
creative problem solving.
Having a warm drink: Again, it's all about decompressing.
It's very comforting sometimes to find a nice quiet spot, and
sit with a nice warm cup of coffee or tea. Both of these are
soothing. When we are feeling soothed and relaxed, ideas and
problem solving become a lot easier. Maybe you can go sit in
a coffee shop, or on the outdoor patio. Many shops have nice
background music playing that will put you in a relaxed or an
upbeat mood, which is great for creative problem solving.
Listening to music: Speaking of listening to music, music
can be a very useful tool for creative problem solving. Some
songs can do wonders to relax the mind. Others can get you excited.
Still other songs might have lyrics that speak to your mind,
heart, and soul. Many people can speak of song lyrics that vebalized
exactly how they were feeling. This helped them to solve issues,
and to gain the strength that they needed to solve large problems.
Some songs can serve as anthems for periods of time in life.
Taking a shower: This might sound really weird, but it ties
in with the relaxation thing. When you take a nice warm shower,
or even a bath, it gets the blood flowing. It also relaxes tense
muscles. Anxiety does a lot to block creative problem solving
abilities. So taking a nice hot shower or bath can do wonders
to put a smile on your face, get your blood racing, and to make
you feel energized to be able to solve problems.
Making list or journaling: Sometimes we need to see things
on paper to truly get in touch with our emotions. When we put
things on paper, we have solid evidence of our feelings and thoughts.
It becomes real. So then we can't hide from problems and we have
to find solutions. It's the same concept as when we solved a
math problem in school. We read the problem, used scratch paper
to solve the issue, and then we came up with an answer. Pen,
pencil, and paper can be a very useful tool for creative problem
solving. |
